Die Philippinen zielen auf ein Freihandelsabkommen mit der EU, da sie sich dem Status eines Landes mit mittlerem Einkommen nähern, wodurch sie ihre Präferenzbehandlung in der EU-Handelspolitik verlieren würden, sagte der philippinische Handelsminister.

Der Berichtsentwurf des Europäischen Parlaments für die vorgeschlagene EU-Richtlinie zum Schutz von Journalisten vor missbräuchlichen Gerichtsverfahren wurde am Dienstag (27. Juni) vom Rechtsausschuss angenommen.
