A Tanács következtetéseket hagyott jóvá az uniós tengeripari stratégiáról az uniós tengerhasznosítási ágazat versenyképességének, rezilienciájának, innovációjának, biztonságának és dekarbonizációjának fokozása érdekében.

A Tanács szankciókat fogadott el két olyan személlyel és egy szervezettel szemben, akik, illetve amelyek közreműködnek a Hormuzi-szorosban a hajózás szabadságát fenyegető iráni intézkedésekben és politikákban.

A Tanács elfogadta az egyiptomi fegyveres erők megsegítését célzó, az Európai Békekeret keretében megvalósuló 2. támogatási intézkedést. Ezzel 40 millió EUR-ra nőtt az egyiptomi fegyveres erőknek ez idáig nyújtott támogatás összege.

Ez az új irányelv aktualizálja a bűncselekmények áldozatainak jogairól, támogatásáról és védelméről szóló 2012. évi uniós jogszabályt, és előírja a tagállamok számára, hogy hozzanak létre uniós szintű segélyvonalat az áldozatok számára.

European Council President António Costa invited leaders to the meeting of 18 and 19 June 2026 in Brussels, during which they will discuss Ukraine, Middle East, competitiveness, global economic challenges, the next Multiannual Financial Framework, defence and security, migration and illicit drugs.
