Un décret encadre la circulation des véhicules poids lourds de plus de 10 tonnes dans les villes du Grand Nokoué (Abomey-Calavi, Cotonou, Ouidah, Porto-Novo et Sèmè-Podji).
Adopté le 3 septembre 2025 et mis en application dès 2026, le décret N° 2025-508 portant règlementation dans l'agglomération du Grand Nokoué, de la circulation des véhicules lourds de transport, vise à réduire les nuisances causées par les véhicules de transport de marchandises de plus de 10 tonnes dans les villes d'Abomey-Calavi, Cotonou, Ouidah, Porto-Novo et Sèmè-Podji.
Selon un communiqué du Ministère du Cadre de Vie et des Transports en date du 23 septembre, ces camions sont responsables de la dégradation accélérée des infrastructures routières, de l'affaissement des trottoirs et des caniveaux, ainsi que d'accidents fréquents.
Trois itinéraires obligatoires ont été définis pour ces poids lourds :
La circulation sera strictement limitée entre 23h00 et 6h00. En dehors de ces horaires et itinéraires, les poids lourds seront interdits sur les voies secondaires et urbaines, précise le communiqué.
La Police Républicaine sera mobilisée pour veiller au respect de ces mesures. Les contrevenants s'exposeront à des sanctions sévères.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION :
The incumbent serves as the post's nurse with responsibilities that include the medical care of Mission employees and eligible family members under MED approved clinical guidelines, as well as maintenance and inventory of all medical equipment and supplies, implementation of a robust vaccination program, administration of group and individual health education programs, and medical emergency contingency planning for the Mission. The incumbent will work in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the Regional Medical Officer (RMO) or Medical Provider (MP).
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
1. EDUCATION : Degree (RN Level) in Nursing or Diploma/Certificate equivalent from an accredited School of Nursing. Must possess and maintain a valid nursing license or a current unrestricted Registered Nursing license from the host nation, country of origin, or the U.S.
2. EXPERIENCE : A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification work as a professional nurse is required.
3. LANGUAGE : English- Good Working knowledge, reading/speaking/writing is required. This may be tested. French- Fluency, speaking, reading and writing is required. This may be tested.
4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES : The position requires strong interpersonal skills and a client-oriented disposition capable of dealing with a complex interactive challenge in difficult and emotional situations. Must have a solid working knowledge of MED's RN Clinical Practice Guidelines and be familiar with American Nursing Standards of Care. Must be able to perform basic word processing on computer.
5. JOB KNOWLEDGE : The incumbent possesses critical-thinking skills and comprehends MED's policies and procedures regarding medical evacuations, hospitalizations and insurance reimbursement methodology. Must maintain current knowledge of local and regional medical services that can provide care for all acuity levels, including betted specialists and hospitals. Is a resource for arranging the best method to transport critically ill patients and maintains a working relationship with transport facilities.
