Die Europäische Union steckt deutlich mehr Geld als bisher eingeräumt – rund 35 Millionen Euro pro Jahr – in eine Handvoll Medien, die ohne großzügige Subventionen kaum überlebensfähig wären. Das geht aus einer Analyse von Euractiv hervor.

Das Statistische Bundesamt hat heute bekannt gegeben, dass die Verbraucherpreise in Deutschland im Juni um voraussichtlich 2,0 Prozent gestiegen sind. Dazu eine Einschätzung von Geraldine Dany-Knedlik, Konjunkturchefin des Deutschen Instituts für Wirtschaftsforschung (DIW Berlin):

Die Inflation ist in Deutschland derzeit moderat, im Juni lag sie mit wohl 2,0 Prozent sogar noch einen Tick niedriger als im Mai. Für eine dauerhafte Entwarnung ist es aber zu früh. So waren beispielsweise kürzlich nach der Eskalation zwischen Israel und dem Iran die Rohölpreise vorübergehend deutlich gestiegen. Auch wenn der große Ölpreisschock bisher ausgeblieben ist: Die Turbulenzen auf dem Rohölmarkt und damit einhergehende höhere Benzin- und Dieselpreise könnten die Stimmung der Verbraucher*innen deutlich eintrüben. Doch es gibt noch ein weiteres Inflationsrisiko: Die umfangreichen öffentlichen Mehrausgaben aus dem Sondervermögen für die Infrastruktur könnten ab nächstem Jahr für Preisdruck sorgen. Wenn auf Biegen und Brechen versucht wird, die Mehrheit der Investitionsprojekte in den kommenden paar Jahren zu realisieren, könnten die betroffenen Branchen sehr schnell an ihre Kapazitätsgrenzen stoßen und bei den Vergabeprozessen entsprechend höhere Preise verlangen, zumal es vielerorts kaum Wettbewerb gibt. Deshalb kommt es darauf an, die finanziellen Mittel nach und nach auszugeben. Bei einem allmählichen Mittelabfluss wird die Inflation wohl nur moderat steigen. Laut aktueller Konjunkturprognose des DIW Berlin dürfte sie dann in diesem Jahr bei 2,1 Prozent und im kommenden Jahr 2,2 Prozent liegen.
